Cookie Policy

Effective July 15, 2026.

LangBytes uses only technologies that are necessary to operate accounts, preserve requested referral attribution, apply security controls, and record consent. LangBytes does not currently use optional behavioral advertising or marketing cookies.

Necessary technologies

  • lb_session, an HTTP-only, same-site authentication cookie used to keep an adult account signed in. Its normal lifetime is 14 days and it is protected with the secure flag on HTTPS.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile and security technologies, which evaluate browser and request signals to prevent bots and abuse. Cloudflare may use a clearance cookie when the active security configuration requires it.
  • Referral and campaign parameters supplied in the landing-page URL and submitted with the waitlist form. LangBytes does not place those values in a marketing cookie.
  • Server-side consent-version records associated with waitlist entries and accounts.

Controls

Browser controls may block or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent account authentication, security checks, or forms from working. Removing referral parameters from the URL prevents those values from being submitted with a new waitlist signup.
